Robin Muliawan
“Every project is unique. That keeps you learning, and that is exactly what gives me energy.”
From business controlling to Oracle Cloud ERP consultancy: Robin built his career at the interesting crossroads of business processes and IT. His analytical skills, eagerness to learn and broad experience make him a strong link in ERP projects at SiNube.

Robin studied business engineering at the University of Antwerp, a choice that matched his broad interest in both numbers and technology. From a young age, he had a strong interest in computers. “I have always been curious about how systems work. During my studies, I became especially interested in finance and logistics, areas that are still relevant in my job today.” After his studies, Robin started as a business analyst. “That is where I got to know the analytical and technical side of IT, and the basics of databases, the foundation of every ERP system. That knowledge still helps me every day.”
Growing through different roles
Through various roles, from business controller to key user and application manager, Robin deepened his understanding of business processes and their translation into IT solutions. After a few years in the healthcare sector, he moved into ERP consultancy. “I wanted to work on projects in different environments, each with new challenges. First, I worked for an ERP software company, and later I came to SiNube through a recruiter.” What convinced him? “The reputation of De Cronos Groep as a strong and enterprising company and the focus of SiNube on Oracle Cloud ERP. When I saw a demo of the system, I was immediately convinced. It is user friendly, modern and technically strong. A perfect match for my profile.”
Projects where you make a difference
Today Robin works as a functional consultant on Oracle ERP implementations, often at larger organisations in sectors like government, maritime and entertainment. He also sometimes takes on the role of project management officer. “Because I know the system well, I understand what is realistic for a client. I guide them in making choices, translate their processes into IT solutions and lead them through all phases of the project, from analysis to go-live.” His approach is analytical, and people oriented. “Each project needs a unique approach. What you always need is good collaboration with the client and support during change. Change can sometimes cause resistance. Then it is my job to clearly explain what the new system will bring them.”
What makes a consultant successful
According to Robin, there are different paths to becoming a good ERP consultant. “You can have a background in finance, logistics or IT, or simply a strong curiosity and good communication skills. The most important thing is that you are eager to learn, you can listen, and you enjoy working together.” He once worked with a colleague who had a background in translation. “She had experience at Oracle and brought a lot of structure to projects. So, it is not just about your degree, but also about your insight and drive.”
Growing at your own pace
Since he started at SiNube in 2018, Robin has developed himself fully. He built expertise in Oracle, obtained a Scrum Product Owner certificate and followed courses in soft skills like communication. “I was given the space to help shape my own path. You grow here through projects and support from experienced colleagues. That builds confidence.” He describes the culture at SiNube as open, honest and enterprising. “You have contact with your managers, you can take initiative, and there is room for training. It is an environment where you can be yourself.”
What drives Robin?
“Learning new things. Building knowledge. Offering solutions that really work.” Robin gets energy from analysing problems, working with new technologies like AI and setting up sustainable solutions for clients. “If a client is happy with my work, or I notice that my explanation really helps, then I know: this is why I do it.”
“Every project is unique. That keeps you learning, and that is exactly what gives me energy.”
